New Firmware For Canon EOS 350D/20D/20Da D-SLRs

Canon BeBit page was updated with new firmware for Canon EOS 350D, 20D, and 20Da digital SLR cameras.

EOS 350D DIGITAL Firmware Update Version 1.0.3:
• Fixes the phenomenon of shots being unable to be taken when using the remote controller RC-1.
• Fixes the phenomenon wherein the camera continues to scroll through images being played back.
• Improves reliability in communication when using some CF cards.

EOS 20Da Firmware Update Version 2.0.3:
• Fixes a problem in color temperature information transmission that occurred when using Speedlite 430EX.
• Improves reliability in communicaion when using CF cards.

EOS 20D Firmware Update Version 2.0.3:
• Fixes a problem in color temperature information transmission that occurred when using Speedlite 430EX.
• Improves reliability in communicaion when using CF cards.

aku dah upgrade firmware tu..dah makin power dah dslr aku. First aku dah ungrade ke 1.0.2 dulu..memang ada improve dari segi white balance dia. Cayalah canon...

Hari tu ada org kata...kalau tak update firmware after 6 months beli, nanti firmware yg sedia ada bleh rosak..btoi ka?..

rasanya d70s pun ada firmware. Cuba try google utk cari firmware terkini. Kalau tak update firmware rasanya tak ler rosak tapi rasa cam outdated ler. Byk flaws yg perlu diperbaiki...

erm.. ingin mencuba. .tp takut.. sebab kalau salah install atau software yg kita pakai tu corrupt ke apa.. the whole camera kena buang.. ni aku ada baca somewhere.. tak ingat mana..

Aku rasa lebih confident utk buat firmware upgrade kalau firmware file tu kita download dari website Canon...

kalau website Russia ni.. hehe.. cuak gak..

What has been changed in verson 1.0.8 of the firmware?

It includes the following improvements and fixes:

1. Fixes a phenomenon in which Image Stabilization operation emits a sound when certain buttons are pressed, with the EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS lens attached to the camera.

When pressing the shutter button halfway down or pressing the AF-ON button, the IS operation sound is normal. (This phenomenon will not affect the durability of IS unit parts)

2. Fixes a phenomenon in which the Image Stabilization operation emits a sound from the lens when IS lenses are attached to the camera.

3. Fixes a phenomenon in which a part of the image looks unnatural when reviewed on the LCD.

Depending on the color of the background, the edges of some objects in the image may appear to have a jagged edge and look unnatural. (Even if the image played back on the camera's LCD is affected by this phenomenon, the actual image data is not affected.)

4. Corrects errors in the Spanish and Norwegian menu screens.

Spanish:

In the metering timer setting of the Live View Function setting, the units for 10 and 30 minutes are in singular form "minuto"; they have been corrected to "minutos".

Norwegian:

Picture Style was described as "Bildetype"; it has been corrected to "Bildestil".

Yes, they are included.

apa kemaksudnya firmware ni? apa kegunaannya?

secara mudah,
firmware ni kombinasi antara perisan dan perkakasan ,chip2 dalam kamera digital mempunyai data atau proggram yang di rekodkan dalam firmware.
menu2 dan setting yang kita lihat dalam kamera kita itulah perisiannya dan apa yang ada dalam body kamera seperti papan litar,chip,prosessor dan sebagainya itulah perkakasannya
dan firmware baru biasanya akan membaiki masalah firmware terdahulu dan juga ada penambahan fungsi2 baru

secara mudah waima canon atau nikon
proses upgrade firmware adalah lebih kurang sama
di mana firmware perlu di download dari web rasmi canon
di extract dan kebiasaanya ada 2 file iaitu A dan B
boleh guna satu atau dua memory kad,
format dulu memory kad dalam kamera,
masuk memory kad dalam kad reader dan transfer firmware A ke dalam kad
masuk kad adlam kamera , (pastikan bateri dah fully charge)
dan masuk ke menu yang ada tulis firmware,
dah lupa yg canon ni kat mana ,pasal 3-4 bulan lepas aku ada upgrade utk 5D member
lepas siap , format kad dan off kamera , transfer firmware B pula ke dalam kad
dan ulang proses yang sama utk firmware B
semasa proses update jgn tekan apa2 butang di body kamera
mudah saja

setelah selesai update, <OFF> kamera dan keluarkan bateri sekurang2nya 2 saat. bg firmware itu berkesan sepenuhnya...
