Apsal diorg baru announcekan berita ini eik???macam ajak2 ayam jer kan???Apa2 pun masih tidak terlewat..jom kita ke Banting...emm..ada sesaper nak organise berkonvoi kesana?? Count me in, nih tgh byk cuti nak dihabiskan sebelum March, ada 20.5 hari lagi...LOL

Temple shoot at height of its beauty
SHUTTERBUGS are invited to visit the Dong Zen temple in Banting to take part in this year’s “Beauty of Dong Zen Photography Contest” that is on until Feb 13.
The contest, which started on Jan 28, is organised by Fo Guang Shan (FGS) Malaysia, which runs the temple. It is in conjunction with the temple’s FGS Dong Zen CNY Lantern-cum-Flower Festival 2006.
The photo that won the first prize in the same contest last year. This beauty was taken by Wong Siew Guan.
Entries must feature the FGS Dong Zen CNY Lantern Cum Flower Festival 2006, which may include buildings, people, scenery and activities.
Each entry should have a description of not more than 20 words.
The photograph should be in 8R size, either in colour or black and white. Photographs must be original, and should be sent in with the negatives, diskette or CD.
There is no limit to the number of entries per participant but each participant is limited to one award only.
The contest is organised by FGS Malaysia, Sin Chew Jit Poh and Hanxing Academy of Journalism and Communication (Professional Photography). The sponsors are Canon and Digicolor.
Representatives of the contest’s organisers at the press conference on the event (front row, from left) Venerable Miao Hau (FGS Malaysia), Lim Keng Hun (principal of Hanxing), Venerable Jue Wen (FGS Malaysia) and Koh Chun Thiam (Canon). In the back row (from left) are Paul Chez (contest committee) and The Star’s assistant chief photographer Ng Kok Leong.
Participants must fill up the entry form, stick it to the back of the envelope containing the entries and negatives and send to: FGS (The Beauty of Dong Zen Photography Contest 2006), No. 2, Jalan SS3/33, Taman Universiti, 47300 Petaling Jaya.
Aside from the top three prizes, there are 10 prizes in the Outstanding Award category.
Among the prizes are Canon Powershot digital camera, Digicolour 220A lighting, Canon printer, Digicolour camera bag and free subscription to Pumen magazine.
The prize-giving ceremony will be held on Feb 19 at Dong Zen.
