bangkok kotor? maybe 5years ago kot orang yg bercerita tuh....from my observation baru2 nih...bangkok is very very clean...generally lah....sampah sarap kat jalan raya mmg tak nampak pon....its very very surprising since there are a hefty numbers of street vendors everywhere.....i think the government dah take a huge step forward for their tourism sector.....really was impressed....

hanty tiada masalah semasa di Bangkok sebab on business trip, kemana2 ada officer dr Bank of Thailand menemani..nak shopping nak makan semua chauffeured and guided...cuma bila malam hanty merayau sendirian susah skit cari makanan halal.. di shopping complexes' food courtnya anda akan lihat byk usus2 khinzir beso2 dan melengkau2..bukan usus sahaja semua parts ..yg tak dapat dinafikan cara food presentation mereka mmg berbagai dan menarik belaka...jika buah2an tu di perbagaikan ntah macam2 pesen tak tau nak kabo camner...
*Pak/tpong ni hanty tak hingat sgt kat jln mana,Silom road ke ntah apa dah lupa dah lamalah katakan.tapi masih dlm city centre dan kawsan pelancungan..yg hanty hingat hanty beli imitation watch sampai lah ni masih in working condition...

kitorang tak g pon pakpong....but we stayed near a similar area....khaosan road or also known as Thanon Khaosan situated in Banglamphu (near grand palace area lah)....the place was packed with backpackers and of course, budget hotels....street vendors were selling stuff all over the area....yet i felt a nice ambience amongts the human jungle....

pakpong is in the sukhumvit area....near Lumphini Park and Lumphini Boxing Stadium....
anyways....our travel was primarily based on the book "Lonely Planet, Bangkok"...i loaned the book from a friend who is a bacpacking freak....anyways byk info yg ada dalam tuh including maps and recommended places to stay and eat according to your budget....theres a section on muslim food, tapi tak bape byk lah....i highly recommend lonely planet books for all those who seek out adventure....
i found out that there are plenty of tourist information booth in bangkok....u can get most info from here and i got a free map which states where the muslim area are nearby our place....also included were the halal restaurants.....

ntah berapa puluh buat station dia brenti pun tak tahu
nak cari halal food susah jugak mula2. org siam ni makan babi kuat.
aku pernah tak tidur kat bangkok..duk berjalan saja sampai pagi tengok suasana life diorang,
pergi hujung tahun kena musim sejuk kat sini, ketiak gerenti tak berpeluh

#11 Wat Pho, Bangkok is situated adjacent to the Grand Palace...It houses the infamous Reclining Buddha inside one of the buildings (not seen here)... Wat Pho is famous for its traditional thai massage school whereby you can learn and be certified as a masseuse....the course would take hours to learn and you could take classes at your own schedule....eg. 4hours a day....

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3209/2414010750_69a6b9a5eb.jpg
#18 : Cafeteria overlooking the pond and the compound of Jim Thompson's House....
Ramai org yg tak tau pasal rumah nih....aku pon tau sbb dulu study sket pasal thai architecture...browse2 dlm internet jumpa lah rumah nih....so mmg salah satu target la g jenguk rumah nih....ia merupakan indigenious/traditional architecture of thailand.....
Jim Thompson merupakan arkitek warga amerika yg pernah berkhidmat utk military AS semasa perang, di Thailand...so perang dah abes, die sudah naik syiok ngn Thailand, fell in love la konon...so die decide to go and live there....dalam compound rumah ni ada bout 3-4 different units....1 for his guests, 1 for his maids, 1 is kitchen and of course satu lagi tempat dok die lah....he collected a few of thailands most precious pieces and display it around his amazing house.... Jim thompson became the trader atau pengimport Thai Silk dan memperkenalkan nye ke seluruh dunia terutama sekali AS lah..kampung die....Smpai skrg pon masih ade lagi brand jim thompson nih tapi mak aih harga die...kekkee...
Malangnya Jim thompson dilaporkan hilang ketika visit nye ke Cameron Highlands...ye betul....camerons kite tuh....dan takde sape tau sebabnye....some of the famous tales were that he was eaten by a tiger, killed by fellow competitor (in thai silk industries) and kidnapped by bonian kot....and sampai skrg masih tak tau lagi mana die g atau apa punca kehilangan beliau..... :?
time dok kat tempat nih,mmg tak ghase cam tgh kat bangkok, sbb rumah ni mmg penuh ngn pokok2 tropical....jim thompson ni minat ngn hutan,so rumah die pon dah macam hutan tropica yg lawo....

Kalu nak ke BKK, better cari hotel area Sukhumvit Road, senang dpt halal food, kat Soi 11 Nana ada byk kedai arab, kalu bln puasa ade berbuka free. Kat Soi 23 ada kedai Usman, tuan dia org pattani (kedai yg wajib pergi kalu sy kesana), dkt food court MBK ader lg 2 kedai muslim, food court Emporium ader 1, lagipun ade line BTS train, senang nak jln2, x yah guna teksi, jln jammed giler.
